This weekend signals Rally Germany, the 9th round of the championship and the first round of the tarmac only rallies.

ADAC Rallye Deutschland is held in the north western German town of Trier, 354.43km of competitive stages run through picturesque vineyard towns with thousands of rally crazed German fans lining the roads to catch all the action.

The 2014 event was one to remember with many of the top drivers crashing out whilst leading the rally with the most notable being Latvala who was set to take his first tarmac rally win but faulted badly on the final day.

Kris Meeke also had the winning trophy in his sights until he crashed out on the very last stage handing the victory to maiden WRC round winner, Thierry Neuville.

Check back to MDM for the first day of competition of Round 9 and the ADAC Rally Deutschland.
