The streets of Richmond came alive last night with the beautiful sights and sounds of Italian luxury cars as Zagame Ferrari threw open their doors for the re-launch of their Swan Street Richmond dealership.

The night began with MC Dermot Brereton welcoming guests who had travelled across Australia and the world to be at the opening, including current Scuderia Ferrari Formula One Team test driver Esteban Gutierrez.

With a stunning selection of new Ferrari vehicles on display such as the Ferrari F12, California T and the Ferrari FF, the highlight of the evening was the limited edition black and red painted LaFerrari which is on loan to Ferrari Australasia by a private owner in New Zealand.

The vehicle was exhibited at the V8 Supercars round in Adelaide last weekend and will be on show this weekend at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix at Albert Park, which celebrates 30years of Formula One in Australia.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ferrari Australasia, Herbert Appleroth, was on hand to present owner and CEO of Zagame Automotive Bobby Zagame, with a gift on the re-launch of the facility.

Both looked extremely excited by the turnout for the evening as both spoke and contemplated the rich future Ferrari has, not only in Melbourne but also in Australia.

The Richmond dealership is now the pinnacle Ferrari showroom and highlights the commitment of Zagame Automotive and Ferrari Australasia to their clientele.

The landmark dealership extends over three floors incorporating state of the art facilities for current Ferrari owners, a luxurious showroom of new and pre-owned Ferrari vehicles and the Ferrari atelier – Ferrari’s personalisation program.

In this space clients can relax in style as they customise every conceivable detail of their new Ferrari.

With plenty of delicious Italian food and French Veuve Clicquot wine, the evening was in full swing with Sony Foundation ambassador and Sony Music Australia artist Samantha Jade on hand to sing a few numbers and entertain the crowd of VIPs and invited guests.

Sony Foundation CEO Sophie Ryan and Communications Manager Ali Best, auctioned off a selection of apparel and plaques signed by Ferrari F1 Drivers raising over $100,000 for the charity.

These much needed funds will go towards helping children and young adults in their ‘You Can’ Youth Cancer Program.
